Up to 40,000 visitors from Italy and abroad gather annually at the Alpen Flair Open-Air festival at Natz to celebrate one of South Tyrol's biggest folk festivals. Top-notch acts from rock, metal, punk, and German pop music (Schlager) ensure a diverse lineup and an energetic atmosphere.

The festival impresses with its unique blend of heavy music and traditional Alpine flair. A large "party family" forms in a relaxed atmosphere, making the event truly special. Initiated by the band Frei.Wild with Philipp Burger, Alpen Flair has long since become a highlight on the festival calendar, extending far beyond its fan community.

The festival kicks off with a warm-up party in the village center of Natz. This is followed by several days of live concerts on the expansive festival grounds, a former NATO site.

Frei.Wild with Philipp Burger

Philipp Burger is the singer, songwriter, and frontman of the South Tyrolean rock band Frei.Wild.

With his distinctive voice and often deeply personal lyrics, he has significantly shaped the band's musical style and thematic direction since its inception. Frei.Wild's music moves between German rock and catchy melodic influences, frequently addressing themes such as a sense of belonging, solidarity, and individual life experiences.

In addition to his work as a musician, Philipp Burger is also culturally active: He is considered the initiator of the Alpen Flair Festival in Natz-Schabs (South Tyrol), which has developed over the years into one of the most renowned music festivals in the German-speaking world. With this project, he has created a platform that connects music, community, and regional identity.

Philipp Burger is thus one of the most influential figures in the German-language rock scene and represents both the artistic and organizational development of his musical environment.
